What is Kalsharpa Dosh?
Kalsharpa Dosh (or Kalsarpa Yoga) is a significant astrological condition in Vedic astrology that occurs when all the planets in a birth chart are positioned between Rahu (the North Node) and Ketu (the South Node).
Four Conditions of Kalsharpa Dosh
The tool checks for these conditions in both directions (Rahu-Ketu and Ketu-Rahu):
- Full Kalsharpa Dosh: All planets between nodes (with or without conjunct)
- With Conjunct Planets: Some planets with Rahu/Ketu, others between them
- Partial Kalsharpa Dosh: Only 1 planet outside the axis
- No Kalsharpa Dosh: 2+ planets outside the axis
About Directions
The analysis is done in two directions because:
- Rahu to Ketu: Standard Kalsharpa Dosh interpretation
- Ketu to Rahu: Called Kala Amrita Yoga, has different spiritual implications
Your chart may show different conditions in each direction.
